When
the first Noodlebosch was opening, I typed up an employment application
form. The last question read, “What is your dream job?” I was mocked by
friends who criticized me for asking such a question to unskilled
applicants, most of whom originate from the Eastern Cape and currently
live in the Kayamandi location outside of Stellenbosch.
Today,
in less than a year, Noodlebosch is extremely proud to have two of
those unskilled applicants independently managing our busiest branch,
located at the Neelsie ‘Student Centre’ in Stellenbosch. Another two of
those original applicants are now sushi chefs of the highest order and
there’s a good chance they prepare more top quality sushi per day than
any other chef in the country! As for the rest of the staff, the world
is their oyster.

Noodlebosch and its staff are proof of it.
